Age Division QUEENS The overall winners will be determined by the judges in onstage presence in personality and confidence and the judge's ability to see the potential of the contestant to benefit from her role as a Miss Exceptional Queen. ONE OVERALL WINNER in each age division will receive: Official Miss Exceptional crown, banner, medallion, and Miss Exceptional Royalty photo shoot. All participants will receive a crown, medallion, and sash and will be a member of the official Miss Exceptional Princess Court and will be invited to attend appearances and events along with the Queens Court. Part of the mission of the Miss Exceptional Pageant is to provide a platform to bridge gap that exists among members of the disability community. Miss Exceptional encourages participation in appearance events, regardless of placement during the competition. The Miss Exceptional Pageant is a tool to assist the contestant in gaining friendships, mentors, and new skills through the events and appearances offered. Beauty Wear: Each contestant will complete their presentation on stage in their beauty wear. Contestants will be offered a microphone at the first X. Immediately following their personal introduction the contestant shall model their beauty wear using the remaining 3 X's on the stage as a guide. The contestant is allowed to model with a parent or one of our pageant buddies. The judges will not deduct points for having an escort. The contestant will have approximately 60 seconds to complete their modeling presentation: Personal Introduction ---> X--> ---> X X--> Exit (microphone) | /l V / X
Onstage Interview with Miss Sami (new for 2018): Verbal Contestants: During this event, verbal contestants will be seated on stage, one-on-one with the emcee while they partake in a mini conversation. The emcee may be prompted by information on the participant’s information card and may find some topics at random. Participants are judged on their ability to be personable and not the content of their answers. The attire for this is the participant's beauty wear dress. Note that they will be sitting in a chair on-stage for this. (Low or Non-verbal contestants will have an alternative submission). Low or Non-verbal contestants: Please submit no more than 5 still photos / a video 30 seconds or less that demonstrates your child's personality along with a 200 words or less statement describing your child. This will be edited into a video that is played for the judges and audience.

OPTIONAL SUPREME COMPETITION Are you SUPREME? There are three SUPREME titles at the Miss Exceptional Pageant! The SUPREME QUEEN, SUPREME SWEETHEART, & LIL SUPREME title will be awarded to the contestants who have the most donations to support the efforts of Exceptional Families Network and Miss Exceptional. The contestant raising the most votes receives the title of SUPREME QUEEN, the next highest votes will be crowned SUPREME SWEETHEART, and finally LIL SUPREME. Only Contestants are eligible for this honor. Using the Donation link, contestants can raise money by asking family, friends, coworkers, and businesses to support EFN and Miss Exceptional. A minimum of 100 votes are required to qualify for the Supreme titles competition. The SUPREME QUEEN, SUPREME SWEETHEART and LIL SUPREME will receive crown, special black banner, scepter, Miss Exceptional Royalty photo shoot, and will be a reigning queen with the age division queens until the next Miss Exceptional Pageant where she will crown her successor. ALL CONTESTANTS who raise a minimum of 100 votes will receive a special banner and will be recognized on stage as a SUPREME PRINCESS during our special presentation. ALL CONTESTANTS who raise a minimum of 500 votes will receive a special crown and will be recognized on stage as a Royal Princess during our special presentation. Votes will be accepted at the registration desk. People can vote online, by mailing a check to EFN 5605 100th St SW Suite A Lakewood WA 98499 (received by 9/21), or by giving you the money which you can turn in at Check-in. Voting will close at 1pm on Saturday September 22nd. Winners will be crowned on stage at the end of the show. *Note: Entry fees to Miss Exceptional are not considered supreme competition donations. Entry will not count towards the Supreme title nor will they be considered towards meeting the $100 minimum to qualify for the Supreme Queen title. Supreme competition donations are collected in addition to and separate from the entry fees.
Queen of Queens Competition: Reigning Age Division Queens and Supreme Queens are eligible to compete. Points are gained by participating in events, raising awareness about Miss Exceptional and Exceptional Families Network and by raising money. The 2017 Queen with the most points on the day of the Miss Exceptional Competition will be crowned QUEEN OF QUEENS and will receive a new sash, new crown, and a new scepter and will reign as QUEEN until the next Miss Exceptional competition where she will crown her successor. Points are calculated from the first day of their reign until the day of the succession pageant, these must be turned into the directors the Monday before the pageant.
Miss Exceptional 2018 Queen of Queens Points
All age division Queens and Supremes are eligible to compete for the Queen of Queens title. The title will be awarded to the royalty member that earns the MOST points during the year of her reign. Points must be submitted to Beth Schubert with photographic proof 2 weeks prior to the following year’s competition. Points are earned according to the following scale:
1 Point per dollar earned for soliciting items donated to Miss Exceptional to be used as Raffle/Auction items. 5 Points per dollar donated in your name to the Miss Exceptional website for the first $200 donated. 1 Point per dollar donated in your name to the Miss Exceptional website above the initial $100 donated. 15 Personal appearance in banner and crown at an event. 25 Personal appearance in banner and crown at an Exceptional Families Network event. 25 Referring a new contestant that enters the 2018 Miss Exceptional Pageant. “New Contestant” must not have entered the 2017 event. 200 Hosting/Organizing/Facilitating Parade, Speaking Engagement, Appearance, etc. 200 Television or Radio Appearance in Banner and Crown. 200 Magazine or Newspaper Article with general Washington State distribution including the pageant name “Miss Exceptional” after July 1. 500 Television or Radio Appearance in Banner and Crown or Magazine or Newspaper article with nationwide distribution after July 1. 500 Attending the 2018 Miss Exceptional Photoshoot
