General Behavior participants and their families will, above all else, be gracious and flexible. While at any Miss Exceptional event, or while representing Miss Exceptional, the Exceptional Families Network, and while competing in the Miss Exceptional competition(s): at no time will it be tolerated to harass any volunteer, judge, board member, venue personnel, or other participant, their family, or our guests. Any participant or their family who violates these rules at the competition will be disqualified and ask not to return to participate in the Miss Exceptional Program.
Participants and title holders will remember that while representing our program, they will maintain appropriate behavior in all interactions.
All participants and their families will recognize that first, this pageant is for building confidence in every contestant and that is the basis of this program and second, that all staff are volunteers with the goal of providing an amazing opportunity for ALL of the contestants. Miss Exceptional staff will take into consideration the participant’s disability when applying this rule, but at no time will parents, family, or friends be allowed to mistreat staff, volunteers, or other participants.

Age Division QUEENS The overall winners will be determined by the judges in onstage presence in personality and confidence and the judge's ability to see the potential of the contestant to benefit from her role as a Miss Exceptional Queen. ONE OVERALL WINNER in each age division will receive: Official Miss Exceptional crown, banner, medallion, and Miss Exceptional Royalty photo shoot.
All participants will receive a crown, medallion, and sash and will be a member of the official Miss Exceptional Princess Court and will be invited to attend appearances and events along with the Queens Court. Part of the mission of the Miss Exceptional Pageant is to provide a platform to bridge gap that exists among members of the community. Miss Exceptional encourages participation in appearance events, regardless of placement during the competition. The Miss Exceptional Pageant is a tool to assist the contestant in gaining friendships, mentors, and new skills through the events and appearances offered.
Beauty Wear: Each contestant will complete their presentation on stage in their beauty wear. Contestants will be offered a microphone at the first X. Immediately following their personal introduction the contestant shall model their beauty wear using the remaining 3 X's on the stage as a guide. The contestant is allowed to model with a parent or one of our pageant buddies. The judges will not deduct points for having an escort.

The emcee may be prompted by information on the participant’s information card and may find some topics at random. Participants are judged on their ability to be personable and not the content of their answers. The attire for this is the participant's beauty wear dress. Note that they will be sitting in a chair on-stage for this. (Low or Non-verbal contestants will have an alternative submission).

OPTIONAL SUPREME COMPETITION Are you SUPREME? There are three SUPREME titles at the Miss Exceptional Pageant! The SUPREME QUEEN, SUPREME SWEETHEART, & LIL SUPREME title will be awarded to the contestants who have the most votes which help to support the efforts of Exceptional Families Network and Miss Exceptional. The contestant raising the most votes receives the title of SUPREME QUEEN, the next highest votes will be crowned SUPREME SWEETHEART, and finally LIL SUPREME. Only Contestants are eligible for this honor unless not enough contestants qualify for Supreme titles. In which case, the remaining Supreme titles will be awarded to Royalty who meet the Supreme minimum and were not awarded Queen of Queens. Outgoing Supreme Queens can choose to compete for age division titles and win a Supreme title again. Only funds raised for the current year count towards supreme titles. Supreme Queens who elect to compete for an age division title are not eligible for Queen of Queens.

A minimum of 100 votes are required to qualify for the Supreme titles competition. Voting will close at the start of the pageant competition.

Entry will not count towards the Supreme title nor will they be considered towards meeting the $100 minimum to qualify for the Supreme Queen title. 5 Points per dollar donated in your name to the Miss Exceptional website for the first $200 donated.
1 Point per dollar donated in your name to the Miss Exceptional website above the initial $100 donated.
15 Personal appearance in banner and crown at an event.
25 Personal appearance in banner and crown at an Exceptional Families Network event.
